Lattice is a top-down seamless garment design worked in a simple but striking lace stitch pattern. Thanks to the lustrous, perfectly spun and twisted yarn, DesigningVashti Lotus, this top gives the impression of a loose-gauge mesh; but unlike some open fabrics, this is one is sturdy. It won’t pill, shred, catch or worm out of shape.
The basic Lattice is a cap shoulder top with a wide neckline, generous armholes for easy layering, and a straight body that hits at high-hip. With options for sleeves, body length, and trim, Lotus Lattice can be fine-tuned to suit your figure and taste, even after the fact.

There are thirteen proportioned sizes, from Girl 28, (around Girl Size 8) through Adult 56 (3XL to 4XL). Each has plenty of stretch in the fabric. The size you choose to make depends on how you like your top to fit.

  • Girl 28 (30, 32)
  • Adult 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 48, 52, 56)

DesigningVashti Lotus (52% cotton, 48% rayon; sport weight, approx. 3.5 oz, 256 yds (100 g, 235 m): 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins for Basic Lattice; some sizes may require more yarn for additional length, optional sleeves and trim.
Tip: If you need four balls of Lotus or more, a Z-Bombe (our one-pound cone of Lotus) may be a better choice for you. Each cone has a minimum of 1,100 yards; four balls = 1024 yards.

I screwed up the underarm for not reading carefully but I absolutely love this pattern. Made 2 so far but will make more when I can find number2 yarn. I WISH your yarn would come back at least for a run or two, so I could stock up!
